Finally, a new sound

In the spirit of my last post, here's a video from Leeland, what I believe to be the best new band (Christian, or not) on the scene in years. The lead singer not only has a hauntingly beautiful voice, but his depth of writing is awe inspiring. Oh, did I mention, he's only seventeen. Check them out more by clicking on the link in my sidebar. Well, here it is..."Sound of Melodies".

1.You'd like him anyway, just because he's from Texas!

2. I'm not a musician, so I don't really "get" your search for fresh sounds. (Sorry.)

3. However, I AM a writer and a worshiper, and that's good stuff! It's like a love song to God!

BTW, I read the comment Travis Cottrell posted on your blog awhile back, where he said he liked Leeland, too.

Travis has always reminded me of you, Mark. He even has an "almost mother" like you do! His is Beth Moore. She dotes on him and his family just like I do you and yours! ( See, I'm not so weird!)

I listened to this when you had it last on your blog, and couldn't remember who it was, but the melody is haunting, I've remembered it for weeks. Dig it, I love new music :)

Great video. I love the old man crawling over the couch. I know this sounds weird, but it made me cry.

Hey Jacob. Let Tony know that I tried to post a comment on his blog, but it wouldn't let me. He either needs to set it up to accept anonymous comments, or, better yet, switch over to blogger beta. Spring knows what I'm talking about. Thanks!
